"Gong Hei Fatt Choi"
The new semester for 2009 kicks start on the 29th of January but i did not attend for the first 2 days cause there will be a lot of briefing about the same issues which had been brought over and over again such as plagiarism and so on and forth depending on the number of module taken for the semester. In other words if you have 3 modules you will have to listen to the plagiarism issue for 3 times by different lecturer sigh.
This year,Students of the same batch as mine is compulsory to propose topics (project title) which are relevant to their field as their final year project draft, Sitting quietly i felt the heat and saw blazing eyes on every student which is kinda stressful. Although i am still thinking of what project title to propose and most importantly i am able manage it but sadly, my mind is blank and totally none that i could figure out. Well since i have 4 more days to think about so why hurry and i felt aches in every part of my body it is obviously due to laziness. Well slack time has gone and now its time to work quadruply hard to bring out everything that i had learn
over the years no doubt its gonna be super tough but it is possible just have to work without flinching and need perseverance (ring and void stone - Dota fanatics).
So brush aside the tensions and say hello to CNY, well celebrating the oxspicious year in APIIT/UCTI is ermm... rather simple but we have multinational crowds enjoying the sublime performance by a group of martial artistes. The celebration begins with singing the "Negaraku"(national anthem) as soon as the song started playing, people who were walking stood still and the funny part is i witnessed a few chinese student near the toilet stood still too hmm wondering are they going to the toilet or what? so i waited patiently till the song stops to see how it goes as they remained stationary. Finally the song ends couldn't believe with my own eyes one of the chinese lad which stood still actually ran to the toilet right after the song stops wow "semangat patrotisme" is he for real well... god knows but he is praise worthy though and a thumbs up from me.

Next the MC sang two chinese songs which i couldn't westernized the titles so forgive me for that ^^. Later a bunch of female cuties will play the drums accompanying the wushu perfomance which also involves weapon play such as swords, rattan staff, light weight spear and long handle knife (performed by girls) so guys better not mess with them unless you know kung-fu and is worth to pay RM 12 to watch Ip Man and pick up some of the moves. Too bad i left my digital camera at home but somehow i manage to get some photos using my friend's cam. (note: videos are taken by anonymous user from youtube)
The best of all is the lion dance performance and this time, is the guys turn to play their role. The lion which is regarded as the guardian creature and the lion dance is usually performed not for entertainment solely but as a way to ward off evil spirits and to summon good fortune as well. Everyone was fascinated to see how the performer mimic a lion. Well there are 3 lions 2 gold and 1 green. The gold ones are the greedy one they in charge of eating the mandarin oranges and threw the skin towards the crowd. The green ones i regard them as the stunt master leaping over the bars which varies in height and position and must posses high level of confidence doing so. Well it's all about timing and perfection and both cant afford to make mistakes at crucial moment therefore they have to undergo countless practises before able to perform to the public. STRICTLY DON'T TRY THE STUNTS AT HOME BEFORE SIGNING UP FOR A LIFE INSURANCE POLICY!!
